Silent Auction of Promises 2018

Our school's Silent Auction of Promises is one of our most successful fundraisers.

The last auction in 2016 raised a fabulous £1281.13 for school

To make this auction a great success we need your help.

We need as many parents, your friends or business contacts as possible to donate an item or a service to auction.

Everyone can get involved because every promise donated, no matter how small, will raise funds for school.

Why not offer some baking, car washing, a cooked dinner, crafts, cutting grass or an hour or so of gardening? How about ironing or offering to chauffeur for a night out? Perhaps you would be able to speak with your local shop, hairdresser, gym, soft play, beautician, farm shop, café or barber to ask for an auction prize? The possibilities are endless! Repetitive promises are more than welcome as many promises are very popular.

Any company donating are welcome to have their business flyer sent out to all the school families.

If you work for a company that could offer us a gift to auction, please let us know.

We have previously had some fantastic promises which were greatly received such as an hour’s gardening, dog walking, babysitting, a Christmas cake, car wash, cupcakes, a taxi ride for an evening’s outing, a taxi ride to the airport, makeovers, 12 biscuits baked for four weeks of a term.

In addition, we have had families with businesses or friends businesses donating beauty treatments, restaurant meals, hairdressing, family photo shoots, park or theatre tickets.

Friends will also be writing to museums, theatres, theme parks to request prizes. However, if you have a contact and can save us a postage stamp then please contact Sarah Lynch, Sarah Marshall, Sarah Bairstow, Kathryn Wilson or let the school office know as soon as possible, please.

In time for the Easter Holidays families will receive an auction list full of lots from local businesses, parents and friends.

Each promise will be described in detail with the donating families name alongside or full business contact details.

You can then can choose the lots that interest you and decide what your maximum bid will be. The auction lists are to be then returned to school. The sealed bids will be opened together and the winning bidders announced. A great tip is to finish your bid in pence, such as £12.47 rather than £12.00.  We will ensure each list comes home to you with full instructions in detail.  We will be asking all of you to deliver as many of the auction lists as you can around your family, friends, community or send them a link to the school website where auction forms will be available.

The letter explaining the full process will be sent out shortly and updates placed on this web page. Thank you

On behalf of everyone on the committee we look forward receiving your ideas and thank you for your loyal support.
